Full-Time Option: Entering Class of 2024 and After

Program

The School of Law offers a traditional three-year, full-time J.D. option that averages 15 credit hours per semester. 

*LAW-1005 May be waived under circumstances described in the course description. 

*LAW-1002 (Advanced Legal Reasoning) Mandatory for students with a cumulative GPA of 2.200 or below and elective for all other students.

*LAW-2001 (Legal Practice Skills) Mandatory in the fall semester of the second year for students with a cumulative GPA below 2.200 after the spring semester of their first year. Also mandatory for any upper-level student on academic probation who has not yet taken the course. Elective for all other students. Students with a cumulative GPA between 2.000 and 2.199 may take a maximum of 12 hours if they are required to take Legal Practice Skills during the fall semester of their second year. Students with a cumulative GPA between 1.800 and 1.999 who are required to take Legal Practice Skills in the fall semester of their second year may take more than 12 hours only with the permission of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. 

**LAW-2002 (Solving Legal Problems) Mandatory for upper-level students on academic probation who have already taken or are not required to enroll in Legal Practice Skills. 

*Students who waive out of LAW-1005 will need one additional hour of elective credit.
